About Tactics notes

Tactics notes is the measures garden inside Asymmetric Measures: special operations planning, TTPs, and fieldcraft from open US doctrine (Army, Joint, ARSOF), detachment-level manuals, and original tradecraft where open pubs are thin.

It sits beside Intelligence notes:

GardenJob
Intelligence notesRead the world: actors, crises, concepts, OSINT
Tactics notes (here)Run doctrine: plan, recon, target, influence, protect, sustain

Series pieces under content distill from both. Applied Domains (section 10) is where doctrine meets professional practice and where authorities that do not transfer are named.

Method

  1. Source - public doctrine; original tradecraft where no open pub exists.
  2. Digest - one concept per note; cite pub and edition; usable at the claimed echelon.
  3. Structure - thirteen top-level sections with nested categories.
  4. Density - definition, framework, mechanics, application, related concepts, failure modes.
  5. Publish - ships on the public garden next to intelligence.
